Navo Choir Selected to Perform at 2014 TMEA Convention

The Navo Middle School Varsity Treble Choir has been chosen as one of four Middle School/Junior High School choirs to perform at the 2014 TMEA convention. The choir’s TMEA performance will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at the Henry Gonzales Convention Center in downtown San Antonio. The preTMEA concert will be presented free to the public on at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, in Margo Jones Auditorium at Texas Woman’s University. North Texas Fair and Rodeo Rated Number One in Marketing Competition, Director Glen Carlton Named Professional of the Year

The North Texas Fair and Rodeo garnered the top spot in marketing competition at the January Texas Association of Fairs and Events (TAFE) convention. The convention, held in San Antonio, also named NT Fair and Rodeo Executive Director Glenn Carlton as Manager/ Professional of the Year. The annual event attracts over 250 fairs and festivals of all sizes. The North Texas Fair and Rodeo competes in the category with major fairs and rodeos, including Rodeo Austin and Heart O Texas. Santa Comes to Town

Riding on a big shiny Fire truck, Santa made his way throughout the streets of Little Elm, Sirens going strong; greeting the kids and parents who came out of their homes. This has become a Little Elm tradition over the years and the residents look forward to it. The tradition began about 2003, when the Mayor and a councilman came up with idea of going into communities to greet the kids with Santa on the fire truck.
