CELINA, TX — The City of Celina today announced memorial plans to honor Detective K.C. Robinson, a three-year member of the department, who died yesterday in a vehicle accident while off-duty in Grayson County. Detective Robinson’s daughter, Brynlee, also died at the scene.
A memorial to Detective Robinson is open to the public for the remainder of the week in front of the Celina City Council Chambers at 112 North Colorado Street. Celina residents and friends from around North Texas are encouraged to stop by and honor the Robinson family and the law enforcement community.
Also, the city announced today a Memorial Candlelight Vigil to be held on Thursday evening, April 8th, at 7:00 p.m. in front of the Celina City Council Chambers at 112 North Colorado Street. This vigil will honor the life and service of Detective Robinson, as well as his love for his family and the community.
In response to numerous questions regarding financial support and memorial gifts for our fallen officer, the city is directing any individuals, families, or businesses exclusively to the Celina Police Association. A link to the police association can be found on our website, No other charities or organizations are recognized to receive such memorial gifts in Detective Robinson’s name.
