OAK POINT, TX – Children’s Lighthouse of Oak Point, the area’s high-quality early childhood education and child care center, recently announced a partnership with H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Everywhere) Food and Clothing Bank to help provide local families in need with nourishing meals and clean, warm clothes just in time for the holidays. The center, located at 301 Shahan Prairie Road in Oak Point, is now a collection site for the charity, which accepts donations including new and gently used clothing for all ages and healthy non-perishable food. A H.O.P.E. donation box can be found in the lobby of the child care center and is open to public donations Mondays through Fridays from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. now up to Thanksgiving. “We all have a responsibility to our communities,” said Julie Carter, who owns and operates the center with her partner Michael Carter. “It’s been such a pleasure to work with H.O.P.E. to set up this collection box. Michael and I and the rest of our team are excited to be able to help families in the area who need it most.”
