Residents, visitors now have full website in pocket or purse

LITTLE ELM, TX – The always-connected nature of today’s information-based society is becoming more prevalent as more interaction is conducted over mobile devices. That’s the principle behind the newly redesigned Town of Little Elm website, according to Marketing, Communications and Sales Coordinator Kali Flewellen. The web address is unchanged at “Little Elm is perfectly suited for the kind of technology that allows people instant information anywhere they are,” she said. “On the one hand, our residents can be instantly and conveniently connected to all of our departments, and on the other hand our visitors can be immediately updated on events, activities and the condition of amenities.”

The ability to have a realtime connection to the Town through the Little Elm website, anywhere, anytime, is enhanced by the redesigned website. Specially created to be fully responsive, visitors to the website, whether at home, in the office or on a mobile device, will see the same information in essentially the same format. “Many sites are accessible over mobile devices, of course, but the experience is different, leading to some frustration,” she said. “Our new site is essentially the same on all devices, with some realignment for space considerations, obviously. Even so, anything accessible on the desktop or laptop is equally accessible on the notebook, iPad, phone or enhanced e-reader.” Little Elm reminds drivers and motorists that operating a mobile device, unless for emergencies, is outlawed by local ordinance while the vehicle is being operated, including at stops and lights.
