LITTLE ELM, TX – Little Elm Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting between acquaintances on April 24, 2017. A dispatch call was received shortly before noon today for a shooting in the 2800 block of Dawn Springs Drive in Little Elm. Officers who arrived on the scene came across a shooting victim in distress and bleeding in the home’s driveway, being tended to by neighbors. The shooting victim, still unidentified, is described as a 19-year-old Asian male. Verified as a resident of the reporting address, the victim, who suffered from multiple gunshot wounds, was transported by Little Elm Fire Department paramedics to a hospital in Plano where surgery was initiated. Attending paramedics were able to stabilize the victim as he was transported to the medical center. A preliminary investigation has placed the shooting in the garage of the residence. Officers continue to investigate the incident, but emphasize that there is no danger to area residents in connection with this incident.
