LITTLE ELM, TX – The Professional Disc Golf Association held its Texas Women’s Championship in Leander, Texas. Entering in the Advanced Masters group, Lori Cravey won first place. Cravey is from Little Elm and her Dad is Doug Cravey, a former Mayor of the Town. Behind by five strokes, she won the tournament by one stroke after three rounds. Disc Golf is similar to regular golf, except you use a Frisbee instead of balls. It begins at a tee and ends in the basket (hole). It is designed to be played by every one of all ages. There is a small course in Little Elm available for public use at McCord Park located on Hwy 423. The disc golf course has 18 holes and was created by John Houck, a prominent disc golf course designer.
